Google has a yearly competition for their Android platform called the Android Developer Challenge.  They have a generous cash prize for some of the top apps so it's exciting to see what developers can come up with.  Now that the deadline for submission has ended, Google has released a voting application.  This application downloads a random application submitted for the ADC and lets you try it and then vote on it.  The only problem is that they have no screening process whatsoever.  Now Google is beaming all sorts of useless  and malicious junk to my phone.  I'm getting spam senders, apps that crash my phone, key loggers, and things that drain my battery.  What kind of geniuses to they have running that division?
